Himalaya Gourmet Hot Bengal Curry masala is a family recipe. It is similar to Madras curry or known in Goa, India, as Xacuti - a curry prepared with complex spicing, including poppy seeds, roasted ground coconut and large dried red chilies. It is usually prepared with chicken, goat or chick-peas.

  • Ingredients:  Spices, herbs, ginger and garlic.

     

    Directions:  Fry meat in a tbsp. of vegetable oil. Add a diced onion. Fry. Add a diced tomato, two tbsp. of Himalaya Gourmet Hot Bengal Masala Spice.

    Mix in a diced potato, 1/2 cup coconut milk and salt to taste. Cook for 20 minutes covered on low heat. Add a tbsp. of unsweetened desiccated coconut roasted in a pan on stove top. Serve on rice or Nan and sliced tomato salad.

     

    Each 250ml jar serves a total of 16 minimum portions.
